Screen time · Sleep · Spending

we'll connect the dots.

nudg limits the apps that take over your day, then shows you why you reach for them. It reads your sleep, recovery and spending side by side and tells you what actually makes a difference for you.

Coming soon to iPhone. UK first, then the US and Singapore.

How it works

Blocking is the start. Knowing why is the point.

Most screen time apps stop at a timer. nudg looks at the rest of your day too, because the late night that kept you scrolling is often the same one that sends you shopping the next afternoon.

1

Set your limits

Pick the apps that pull you in and give them a daily limit or a schedule. When time is up, nudg steps in with a gentle shield, not a lecture.

2

Connect your day

Link Apple Health for sleep, heart rate variability and steps, and your bank for spending. Screen time comes straight from your iPhone.

3

See your patterns

nudg compares each day with your own normal and surfaces the links that keep showing up, in plain words, with the chart to back them.

The nudg score

One number for how today compares with your normal.

Every morning nudg gives you a score out of 100 built from four parts: sleep, recovery, activity and everyday spending. Each part is measured against your own last 28 days, not an average stranger.

  • Tap any part to see the chart behind it, by day, week or month.
  • Rent and bills are left out of spending, so the score reflects choices, not fixed costs.
  • Missing a night of data doesn't sink your score; the parts you have are rescaled.

What nudg reads

The signals behind a good day.

Sleep

How long you actually slept and how it split between deep, REM and light.

Recovery

Overnight heart rate variability and resting heart rate, against your own baseline.

Activity

Steps, exercise minutes and workouts from your phone, watch or tracker.

Spending

Your everyday card and bank spending, with transfers and shared bills untangled.

Plus the context around them: screen time limits from your iPhone, and the weather and air quality where you are.

Insights

Patterns you'd never spot on your own.

nudg groups your days and compares the typical day in each group. When a link keeps showing up, it tells you, with a chart and a small change worth trying.

CORRELATION

Stress shopping

On days your HRV is low, you spend noticeably more. A short walk before lunch might break the loop.

CORRELATION

Tired wallet

After nights under six hours, next-day spending runs at nearly double what it is after seven hours or more.

CORRELATION

Smog days stay in

You take fewer steps when the air quality is poor. An indoor workout keeps those days from slipping.

Examples from early testing. Your patterns will be your own, and a correlation is a prompt to experiment, not proof of cause.

Ask nudg

Ask about your own data, in plain English.

“Why was last week so expensive?” “Do I sleep worse after late screen time?” Ask nudg answers with your own charts, and can suggest a new limit or a goal for you to confirm.

  • Answers lead with the chart, then the explanation.
  • It only reads your data; nothing changes until you tap Confirm.
  • Off until you say yes. You choose whether your data is shared with the AI model behind it.
Why was last week so expensive?

Wednesday and Thursday made up most of it, mainly food delivery and taxis. Both came after nights under six hours.

Privacy

Your data works for you. Nobody else.

Health and money are about as personal as data gets, so nudg is built to collect as little as it needs and keep it locked down.

Never sold, never ads

Your data is used to give you insights and nothing else. No advertising, no data brokers.

Screen time stays on your phone

Apple's Screen Time system never tells nudg which apps you use or for how long. Your limits run on the device.

Delete it all, any time

One tap in the app removes your account, health and spending data and disconnects your bank.

Questions

Good to know.

When can I get it?

nudg is in testing now and launches on iPhone in the UK first, followed by the US and Singapore. Join the early access list and we'll let you know.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet. nudg uses Apple's Screen Time and Health systems, so it starts on iPhone.

Do I need a smartwatch?

No, but it helps. nudg reads from Apple Health, so your iPhone's step count works on its own, and an Apple Watch or another tracker that syncs to Apple Health adds sleep and heart data.

Can nudg see which apps I use?

No. Apple lets nudg block the apps you choose and know when a limit is reached, but never shows it app names or usage minutes.

How does connecting my bank work?

Through a regulated open banking provider. nudg gets read-only access to your transactions, can't move money, and you can disconnect at any time.

Is nudg medical advice?

No. nudg is a wellbeing app that shows patterns in your own data. It doesn't diagnose or treat anything; speak to a doctor about health concerns.

Who is nudg for?

Adults aged 18 and over who want to spend less time on their phone and understand what drives their habits.

How do I get help?

Email support@trynudg.app and a real person will get back to you.
